May we who sit complacent
be blessed to have
courageous faith
like the woman whose fingers
touched the edge
of Jesus’s garment,
whose desperation drove her
to the Healer, and whose heart
knew the moment skin met fabric
her body was different
and free from suffering.
She who had the bravery
to speak when Jesus asked
the one whose act sent power
from Him to come forward,
to meet her need head on,
exposed, and whom Jesus
declared well through
extraordinary faith.
