God of grace and small beginnings,
we come to You with hands open and offering.
We who wander weary and wondering
wait for Your life to blow in us, a breeze of awe,
direction, and readiness.
We ask to receive what only You can give,
what only You can make whole and multiply.
Here we are, Lord, hearts upturned and outstretched.
Bring us to Your joy as we create, reveal, and,
if You are willing, heal for those who long
for beauty in their brokenness.
Meet us here, move among us;
as Your Spirit hovered over the waters,
hover over us, fill our fingers, our hearts,
our minds, with the goodness You give,
so we may be a beacon of this brightness to others.
Oh God of grace and small beginnings,
nothing is too simple for You.
Multiply our loaves and fishes,
these offerings from our fingers,
our hearts and hands spread out to You
in hope and anticipation.
We are here, You are seen;
blow through us like a brushstroke on canvas.
For Your creation’s sake, Creator, amen.
