Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.
-Colossians 2:6-7
Truths to Rest My Heart:
I have first received Jesus as Lord, and I must live that out. I have been rooted, but faith deepens when I live the trials and struggles, when I walk by faith and not by sight. That is where I am tested, to go by faith in Christ when I cannot see, when it gets uncomfortable, but where I draw from Him.
And also important—to be full of gratefulness. He has established much to be grateful for. He gave me Jesus to receive as Lord, and not just to receive but to go deep with, firm rooting. He is enough to be thankful for.
Takeaway:
Consider my challenges and trials as joy, and when my faith is to be tested, to dig myself deeper in Him and be grateful always, even in my requests, believing.
