Attentive to Me

The LORD is gracious and righteous,
our God is full of compassion.
The LORD protects the simple hearted;
when I was in great need, He
saved me.

Lord, You hear me when I call out to You.
You are attentive to me.
You untangle the chords of death around me;
You set me free and place me in spacious land.
You are gently personal; You meet me in
my anguish.

When I am low, You save me.
Tears pour fourth, and You catch them all.
Be at rest once more, my soul, for God
has been good to you.

God, my God,
You have heard my cries for mercy.
You strengthen me day by day.
Even when I cannot see, You renew my spirit,
my mind, my trust.

I love you, Lord, for You have
satisfied my life
and heal me, even now.
Trust in the LORD, my soul,
For He will never forsake you.
His compassion is always greater.
