There it is—
the star that rose and shone
for all to see,
glimmering in the sky
for you, for me.
The wisemen came
from far away
with wonder and curiosity,
something in their hearts
compelling them to find
the edge of mystery.
Here they found,
tucked in a cloth,
soft and mild,
the Christ—a child.
Immanuel, the face of God,
bleary-eyed and tender,
held these men in high esteem
captivated by such splendor
that came so humbly here to earth,
a mother’s pain, a sacred birth,
this tiny one to save us all,
no star shone bright like he.
