Road To Come

share post

Steady yourself, girl.

Here you go again.

Stretching your faith into the unseen, strength of patience, of faith.

Sometimes it can be a vicious cycle, but this time, you are calm. There is a peace of spirit that lifts and carries you into the unknown, that holds you steady though the waves of doubt may try and knock you off your boat.

He who goes with you has already steadied and silenced the storm thousands of years ago. Now, He has cleared a way for you to walk, whether you turn to the left or right. You can be certain that where you go is good.

Breathe. Settle in for the road to come.

My second attempt at the Five Minute Friday weekly writing challenge. Five minutes to write on the assigned topic. Raw and unedited. (Yikes!) This week’s topic: Steady. Maybe I shouldn’t write freehand and I’d get my word count up.

Thanks for the post and the reminder that He has already made us steady.
I just submitted my 3rd FMF post. It is nice to challenge myself to free write when I have no idea what I will write about until Friday. It is almost a relief not to have to come up with a topic to write about. Keep at it! The Friday word counts don’t matter. I look forward to reading more from you.
FMF #75 (I have been #74, 76 and now 75…tells me I am always late to the starting gate!)
    Just keep writing!

  2. Hi Sarah – I have read much of your work at Altarwork so I was glad to see that we are “next-door neighbours” here at FMF this week (I’m #73). I’ve been participating in FMF since January and am finding it a really good experience: both the community and the regular prompts. Your poetry and poetic prose are always beautiful — and I love what you said about Jesus already silencing the storm thousands of years ago.
