Holy is the day
that has been made by You.
For You have settled a new canvas
upon the earth,
to draw and paint as we go through
another year,
well aware of the chance
the colors will bleed,
patterns will break.
But Your skill and eyes
Can see where to bring forth beauty
From what has worn and torn.
And so we move into the world,
begin our footprints on this year
in wonder at what our hearts
will produce, inspire, protect, believe.
